Lesson #3: Let's talk about the lights.
14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
Growing up, we are told that we circle the sun and the moon is bright because of the sun's reflection.
Clearly God's word states He made 2 great lights. The greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. So critically think: if God made 2 great lights, how can it be, the moon would receive it's light from the reflection of the sun?
Today's lesson: read all the verses listed in all 3 lessons so far.
Always please begin with prayer and ask God to lead you in what He wants you to learn from His word and continue to ask for discernment and clarity. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you, He will show up in a big way. He is our Guidance Counselor.
