When talking about our earth, had you ever given thought of those everyday common words (or phrases) to be in the bible. If not, why aren't they or are they?
Source: Bible Gateway NKJV
Now, disclosure, this is just a short list that was complied and only showing the point of words only relating to topic at hand. If you find these words/phrases IN the Word, please comment on post.
Let's go over these.

Eclipse

Actually we will talk more about Eclipse another time, but for a quick moment, just think on how an eclipse could even happen. It is the Sun and moon in front or behind of each other, depending if you are speaking about a solar or an lunar eclipse. So question: how can that be if we are to be spinning around the sun??!
Universe With this word, I expected the same RESULTS as with the other above words!
Sorry, we didn’t find any results for your search.
However, the more you study God's Word, the more comes to life!
In this case the exact word UNIVERSE is NOT in the bible, but when searching that particular word, this verse comes up.
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
Now for WORDS in God's Word! (NOTE: NOT limited to only these verses... in other words, I invite you to dig into God's Word!)
WORLD
Psalm 19:4 Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,
Psalm 22:27 All the ends of the world Shall remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations Shall worship before You.
FACE
Genesis 1:2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:20 Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.”
Genesis 1:29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.
Genesis 2:6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.
CIRCLE
Job 22:14 Thick clouds cover Him, so that He cannot see, And He walks above the circle of heaven.’
Proverbs 8:27 When He prepared the heavens, I was there, When He drew a circle on the face of the deep,
Isaiah 40:22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
EARTH
Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:10-12 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:15, 17 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth,
Interested Insert: Remember we have talked about this in past posts, when we have been told the moon reflects off the sun. So when pulling up the word EARTH for this blog post, I saw Genesis 1:16, was "skipped over" and I wanted to go back and recall what that verse was and found footnotes bible gateway as well.
Footnotes
Genesis 1:16 luminaries a natural light-giving body, especially the sun or moon. Gen 1:16 16 Then God made two great [a]lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.
The Great Deep
Genesis 7:11
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
Under The Sun
***Ecclesiastes is fill with "under the sun" verses
Ecclesiastes 1:9
That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun
When we overall look at these words, or other words you may come up with for yourself, remember this was just to show a small glimpse of everyday words with important meaning when it comes to the subject of our blog and to show bible verses to match. When writing up this post, I came up with another word that was not on my original list.
Plateau
MEANING:
a large flat area of land that is higher than other areas of land that surround it. a plateau covering hundreds of miles.
Which this led me to think of the verse when Satan Tempts Jesus in the book of Matthew.
While searching for the verse...
Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
I proceeded to accidentally bump a button when I copied to paste that verse for this post. Interestedly, this "bump" led me to a great laugh! But ended on a serious note!
Let me explain... Google search "bumped" this up: "People also ask:
How did the devil show Jesus all the kingdoms of the world?
Once atop the mountain the devil did not literally show Jesus the kingdoms but rather pulled out a map upon which all the kingdoms were displayed. Fortna also notes that the verse could be implying a Flat Earth, which would allow for all countries to be seen at once from a tall enough mountain."
Ok note 3 things here!
1) The devil did NOT have a map! This was the laughable part!!!!
2) I could not find where FORTNA was given with a full description, but in the sentence this research showed, is only to assume it was a person that was writing up this section on this google search.
BUT
3) and the most important one, is this description of "all the kingdoms of the world and their glory." is also known as a PLATEAU!
Once again we hope you have enjoyed another post!
