As I look over my list of topics for more blog posts, I see a few that are just so simple, there isn't any in depth explanation that is needed.
I am going to dangle you a "carrot" of a topic, and in turn, YOU are going to do a more research and I ask for you to make a comment below the post to share your thoughts or what research led you to. I look forward to seeing your comments.
The emphasized underlined words in the following statements is what we will be focusing on.
1.What do you think of when you read Ephesians 4:8-10?'
2. What do you think of when you read 1 Samuel 2:8b?
What does the word "Pillars" mean?
3. Joshua 2:10-11 10: For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.
11 And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted; neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.
4. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 16:the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
5. Genesis 11:4-9 4:they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” 5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. 6 And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. 7 Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” 8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. 9 Therefore its name is called [c]Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.
Also part of 5, a question to ask yourself is:
"If the earth isn't flat, where was the tower of babel being built to?"
(This question is credited to my friend/brother in Christ, Kevin B from New Mexico.)
Lastly, think on this:
6. "Once you got flat, you won't go back!"
Until next time,
Thanks again for reading!
